We want YOU to be one of our Federation Fellows!

Read the program description below and follow this guide to apply:

The ten-month Federation Fellows experience will culminate in a free trip to Israel as part of the National Young Leadership mission to Israel held each July. This unique program was developed by and is offered through the Jewish Federation of Pinellas and Pasco Counties and is open to young adults living within these counties.

The Fellows selected will commit to volunteering ten hours per month between September, 2017 and June, 2018, in activities that promote and support the Federation’s work. These duties can be performed at home, on site at the Federation offices, at the Jewish Community Camp, at the Fellow's place of work, or around the community and will be tailored to the interests and abilities of the Fellows selected. Examples include updating our new community app, writing thank-you cards to donors, expanding and planning young adult programming, serving on Federation event committees, data entry, assistance with mailings, and most importantly, talking about Federation and YAD in the community.

The criteria is as follows:
  • be within the age range (21-45)
  • a personal statement (explained below)
  • past demonstration of involvement with YAD or Jewish activities
  • personal interview (for finalists)

The Fellows program seeks to identify a diverse group of individuals, representative of varying levels of religious observance, personal history with Israel, gender and sexual preference, style of upbringing, and relationship status.

Interested individuals should prepare a personal statement that details reason for interest, personal information (age, relationship status, level of Jewish observance, and synagogue affiliation if any), what the individual imagines he or she would contribute to the program, and why the individual is interested in this opportunity.

The personal statement should be submitted by August 23

to Emilie Socash at emilie@jewishpinellas.org.
