Connections Magazine : The Resource Guide to Living Jewish in Pinellas/Pasco Counties

Revision in progress for new edition

Where can you go to find out what’s Jewish in Pinellas and Pasco Counties? Where do you find a Jewish doctor? Where are the kosher restaurants or Temples and Synagogues?

For the last three years the answer to these questions has been found in Connections Magazine, a joint effort of The Jewish Federation of Pinellas/Pasco Counties and The Jewish Press.

Connections Magazine, has been a wonderful resource for me,” said Marcia Satinoff, chair of the Connections magazine revisions committee. “ It has put our communities at my fingertips and I find it very helpful which is why I’m thrilled to be chairing this revision committee.  Connections contains all the information you need to guide you to the whereabouts of all things Jewish.  When new people move into our communities or inquire about moving to Pasco or Pinellas County the Jewish Federation has a comprehensive guide to send them which highlights everything we have to offer. It makes searching for information about the Jewish community simple.”

To begin the task of updating the guide committee members: Rita Bergman, Scott Daniels, Elaine Hirsch, Pauline Faulk, Judy Fix, Donald Grossman, Bruce Lowitt, Bobbie Ostfeld ,Bobbie Rosenberg, Mindy Solomon, and Kendra Wood have each begun contacting our agencies, temples and synagogues for their revisions and our marketing committee is actively seeking advertising.  “I couldn’t think of a better place to advertise,” said Mindy Solomon. “Every household receives a copy and both new and potential Jewish families receive one as well. This resource guide will be updated every two years.  That’s quite a lot of bang for your advertising buck .”

With the help of Jim and Karen Dawkins, editors of the Jewish Press, Connections magazine  our 56 page full color, comprehensive resource guide, will be enhanced with new features : A map of our counties highlighting  Jewish agencies, schools, JCC’s, and places of worship will be featured along with a directory of services.

“Look for the second edition of Connections Magazine, Passover 2007,” said Marcia Satinoff.

Connections magazine  will be delivered to you through the Jewish Press.
