Dress vibrantly for a Musical Kabbalat Shabbat Service.
Come together "Side by Side at CBI" as Rabbi Philip Weintraub and Hazzan Jonathan Schultz use both traditional and pop culture melodies to share joyous and meaningful prayer in an inclusive environment.

Our musical Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat service is open to the entire community as is the cocktail Shabbat oneg reception to follow.

Stand "Side by Side" with your friends and family to celebrate Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI) of St. Petersburg’s fourth annual Pride Shabbat.

Worshippers are invited to return on Saturday morning, June 22 at 9 am for a traditional Shabbat morning service followed by a luncheon celebrating Pride.

The congregation returns to the St. Pete Pride Festival on Sunday, June 23, on Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg, welcoming festival-goers to learn about the congregation and its preschool, Pauline Rivkind Early Childhood Education Center.

Support PRIDE at CBI. Sponsorship is available. Make a Pride “Shout Out” in the Shabbat Program: Oneg Host $100, Message $36, Donor List $18

Judaism teaches human beings are created b’tzelem elohim – in the image of God. At Congregation B’nai Israel, we welcome you in the religious, social, and educational life of our congregation and believe each individual is essential to our success as a synagogue and a community. CBI’s Pride Shabbat celebrates equality and inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, transgender, and questioning Jews, friends, families and allies. Our annual Pride Shabbat has drawn people from across Central Florida since 2016 as the first congregational Pride event in Florida.
